The Slash Tunic is the very first release with extended sizing. Making fashion forward clothing for all shapes and sizing. Slash is a modest yet edgy look. Modest neckline but killer slits that take the Slash Tunic to a new level. Don’t want your slits high, no problem. The slits are easy to modify to your desired length.  Front bodice features a princess cut, extenuating those delicious curves! The back does have a center seam. Unfortunately, I did not get a photo of the back.

Note from Designer: Suggested fabric for this tunic is a 2-way or 4-way medium weight knit fabric, such as ponte, velvet or French terry. However, any knit fabric, including rayon spandex or double brushed poly with at least 40% stretch will work.

sOFIA hENDERSON newThe first option I did was the Mid length 3/4 sleeve. I used  Rayon Spandex  in Wine from Simply By Ti. This fabric was great to work with and has great recovery. The color is perfect for the current fall season.

The overall fit and feel of the Slash is perfect. I did lengthen the slits to hit right at hips. This is something I could easily wear to work or a night on the town.

The second option I did was the 3/4 sleeve, Mid length with hood. This was definitely geared for the Halloween spirit! I wanted to channel my inner Sanderson Sisters.

The hood is over-sized to giving it a more urban look. I should note I did not hem this one as I wanted it to feel more like a cloak/tunic.

Per Slash, I was able to finish in about 1.5 hrs. Slash Tunic is great for any level sewist. Make sure to read up on all the tips and tricks within the pattern, to help make your sewing experience that much easier!
